This fully renovated 60-square-meter cottage is ideally located at the southern entrance of the medieval city's protected area, at the confluence of the Saussiotte and Armançon rivers. It offers a clear view of one of the most typical meanders in Semur-en-Auxois, a view once so famous that the SNCF's Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée line made it the main view of the town in its travel advertisements.

It is a charming house facing the floating washhouse (bateau-lavoir). The space is surprising and spread over three levels. From the covered balcony, you access an open-plan room with exposed beams containing the fully equipped kitchen, the TV lounge, and the dining room. You will find everything you need for breakfast there, such as coffee, hot chocolate powder, and teas. The thickness of the walls ensures a pleasant coolness throughout the summer, while for the cold season, each room is equipped with a thermal inertia radiator that diffuses a constant heat.

A miller's staircase leads up to the large bedroom with an exposed roof framework, featuring two highly comfortable single beds that can also be made into a 180 cm double bed upon request. You will also find a desk and a wardrobe there. Down another miller's staircase, you descend into the second bedroom with a double bed that can be set up as two single beds upon request. This is where the bathroom, featuring a walk-in shower and toilet, is located. Please note, however, that very tall people should watch their heads on the beam, and that the miller's staircases require a minimum level of mobility.

All household linens are provided, including bath towels, dish towels, bed sheets, duvets, and blankets. Guests have access to the entire house and the garden. Private parking is available in a lawned garden area, and you also have a garage to store bicycles if necessary. The garden tables and chairs are also stored in this garage.

You will appreciate the soothing tranquility of the panorama before you, featuring gardens, the high arches of the disused viaduct, and the numerous wooded areas where birdsong accompanies you all day long. The ducks are not left out and come to bask in the sun around the restored floating washhouse at the water's edge.

There are many possible walks starting from the cottage, particularly towards a natural beach a 15-minute walk from the accommodation. You can reach the pedestrian city center in just a five-minute walk to enjoy the shops, restaurants, the museum, and the library. For young children, there are books and games on site.
